With experience that spans the agricultural, healthcare and general life science industries, Alison Spaull has held a breadth of previous non-executive and executive roles and brings strong leadership, research and partnership building experience to the HDC Board.
Alison's most recent roles include Executive Director of the ‘Tomorrow’ project at the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, and Director of the Chief Scientist Office at Scottish Government Health Directorates. She has also held previous positions at Scottish Agricultural College, East of Scotland College of Agriculture and Rothamsted Research.
Recently retired, Alison is now focusing on building on her experience as a non-executive in both the public and private sectors: Alison is currently a Charity Trustee, Company Board Member and a member of the Steering Group for Biobanking and Molecular Resource Infrastructure of Sweden.
Alison has BSc, PhD and MBA qualifications.
