15/13 Management of bacterial canker of cherries and plums during nursery production

Bacterial canker is a destructive disease of cherries and plums. It can be caused by two distinct pathovars of Pseudomonas syringae: pv. morsprunorum and pv. syringae. This factsheet describes the biology and symptoms of the disease and summarises the results of a recent HDC funded project on its control.
